Authors Charles Bracelen Flood and Keven McQueen have several qualities in common. Both are superlatively gifted historians who inform their readers while keeping them immensely entertained. Each writes in a style that drives his readers forward, hungering for each new chapter. When it comes to subject matter, Madison Countians Flood and McQueen are quite different. Flood is known for documenting the lives of well known historical figures in ways others have not. McQueen favors bringing to light tales of obscure and forgotten faces from history, whose stories are no less fascinating, even if less frequently told. These two voices on history will come together at the Richmond Area Arts Council for discussion, reading and signing, of their books in the second installment of the 2012 Richmond Area Arts Council Author Series.
