The new artist in residency after school program, HOP - Hands on Program, is the Richmond Area Arts Council's collaboration with the Madison County School System. Artists/Teachers will come into a designated school each day for a two week period.

The program is tuition-based and must be pre-paid in the full amount for students to be enrolled in the program.

You will have an opportunity to learn digital photography from the ground up. The program will begin with learning all the pieces/parts of a camera and how the camera operates. You will learn camera language that professional photographers use in the industry, such as, what megapixels and shutter speeds are. Once you have established a foundation, you will perfect your abilities by working on assignments designed to teach composition and lighting. After this two week program you will be well on your way to taking better photos, and will hopefully develop a great hobby that lasts a lifetime!

Photography will be a two week program for Grades 1 - 5.
$75 per student
